Ian’s fun and charismatic approach to being a musician has had him performing live as a bassist for over 3O years in North America as well Ian has recorded as a session player. Out of SARNIA Lambton Canada Ian grew up listening Detroit Rock Radio where Bob Seger was on a steady rotation back then and still is now! Ian is a self taught finger style bassist but upped his game by taking personal bass/music lessons for 4 years from New Orleans based 🙂 bassist Charlie Wooton where he was exposed to jazz , Latin, Brazilian and Zydeco styles. In 2019 Ian joined up with some long time family friends ,The Down River Band and competed in an Indie record contest in Toronto Canada with 120 other bands where these cats from Lambton county took top honours! A proud and unforgettable moment! Over the years Ian has shared the stage with Randy Bachman , David Wilcox, The Sheepdogs, Kelley Keagy ( Night Ranger) Keiko Komaki ( Play for Change band ) Danny Veras, members of Our Lady Peace and Asia among many others. When not on the road with Classic Seger Ian performs with The Travis Laur Blues band as well as DRB.
